Investment of the Year – Manufacturing Facility

Has your organisation recently made a substantial investment in a manufacturing facility that is best in its class? If so, then this is the award for you.

This award is open to all projects (completed over the past 18 months) that resulted in an interior renovation of an existing manufacturing facility, facility addition, newly constructed, free-standing facility, or substantial improvement to production efficiency.

The judges are interested in learning the reasons why this project is exceptional.

Entry is by a 5 A4 page PDF submission; the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

• Project Background: Provide a brief background on the rationale for the investment, the departments or organisations involved, project budget, scope and size of the project, timeline and any other important items.

• Planning and strategy: Why was this facility investment commissioned? What strategy was undertaken to achieve the project’s aims and objectives? Was the project delivered on time and within budget?

• Project Excellence: Explain why you feel this project deserves special recognition for this award, highlighting any innovations introduced (e.g. equipment innovations). Please also include any considerations you made to the social or environmental impact of this investment.

• Challenges: Outline any challenges that were experienced and how they were overcome.

• Include any other facts or statements that you feel are relevant to support the entry.
